Henk Wanders

Henk Wanders is an autodidact and ®chestra's drummer and percussionist. He frequently adds, as the other members of the band do, his vocal abilities to the musical armamentarium of the band.
"Before I became part of ®chestra, I played in the Frank Boeijen Groep, The Wanders Circus, Kali Tichi and Palio-Parea. I also released the solo-cd Start.
At the moment I'm busy with a number of productions, such as for Roline, a very talented singer-songwriter with a marvellous voice, and I'm engaged with the preparation of a cd with singers, bands and musicians who originate from my hometown Nijmegen and who perform songs of Nina Simone.
Among others, Clemens van de Ven and Frank Boeijen already promised to cooperate. This cd should become a beautiful tribute to Nina.
These productions, among others, I carry out in my own studio XAPA at Gendt, where also the albums of ®chestra have been recorded and mixed. Furthermore, I'm writing and recording songs for my second album, with songs in Dutch, and temporarily entitled Eens komt de dag.
Despite my busy schedule, I still have enough time, energy and fire left to give to ®chestra, one of the more glorious bands to play in and with which each rehearsal, performance and studio recording turns into one great feast."
